Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with TroopBook in 5 minutes

TL;DR: Sign up → Create organization → Import ScoutBook+ roster. Done in 5 minutes.


Step 1: Create Account

  1. Visit troopbook.com
  2. Sign up with Google, Apple, or Email
  3. Verify email (if using email/password)

Step 2: Create Organization

Fill in the prompted form:

  • Name: "Pack 807" or "Troop 42"
  • Slug: pack807 → becomes pack807.troopbook.com (⚠️ permanent, choose carefully)
  • Program: Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, or Sea Scouts

Step 3: Import Roster

  1. Export CSV from ScoutBook+ (recommended), My.Scouting, or Legacy
  2. Dashboard → Import → Upload CSV
  3. Review preview (check member counts, units)
  4. Execute Import
Skip import? Small units can add members manually instead.

That's It!

You're now set up. Spot-check a few members (Dashboard → Members) to verify import worked correctly.
