Managing youth and adult members in your organization
TL;DR: Track youth and adult members with BSA IDs. Import bulk rosters or add manually. Link parents to children for communications.

Members are the foundation of your organization. TroopBook tracks youth scouts, adult leaders, and their relationships.

Adding Members
Option 1: Import (Recommended for bulk)
- Import from ScoutBook+
- Import from My.Scouting
- Fastest for 15+ members
Option 2: Manual Entry
- Dashboard → Members → Add Member
- Best for small units or single additions
- Required fields: Name, BSA Member ID, Type (Youth/Adult)
Key Fields
Youth Members
- BSA Member ID - Unique identifier (9 digits)
- Name - First, middle (optional), last, suffix (optional)
- DOB - Date of birth
- Grade - Current grade level
- Rank - Current scout rank
- Den/Patrol - Unit assignment
- Parent Email - For communications
Adult Members
- BSA Member ID - Unique identifier
- Name - Full name with prefix/suffix options
- Contact - Email, phone, address
- Positions - Leadership roles (can have multiple)
- Training - YPT status, completion/expiration dates
- Registration - Status and expiry date
